rsume.ai ("we," "us") helps you optimize your resume while preserving its formatting. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over your data. Trust is the product — so we keep this short and specific.
01What we collect
Account details (your email and authentication info). Content you upload (your resume and any job descriptions you paste). Usage data (which features you use and credit activity). Payment data is processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
02How we use your data
To run the service: read your resume, analyze the job you target, rewrite your content, and rebuild your PDF. To manage your account and credits, process payments through Stripe, and improve reliability. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your resume to train third-party models.
03How long we keep it
Your resume is processed to deliver your result and can be deleted at any time from your account. When you delete content or close your account, we remove the associated files from active storage. Some records (e.g. billing) may be retained as required by law.
04Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to what is needed to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your resume as sensitive personal information and handle it accordingly.
05Your rights
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data, and you can wipe your uploaded content at any time. Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights — contact us to exercise them.
06Third parties
We rely on a small set of providers to operate: Stripe (payments), authentication providers (e.g. Google sign-in), and infrastructure/hosting. Each processes data only to provide their service to us.
07Children
rsume.ai is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
